About the Artisans: Jack & Stella
In 1995, Jack was introduced to glass
while attending the Evergreen State College
in Olympia, Washington where he earned
a Bachelor of Science. In the year 2000 he introduced Stella to the art of glass. Since,
they have been creating art glass together
as Frog Pond Glass.
Their work is displayed across the world from the US to Hong Kong. They have studied at schools such as Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, The Penland School of Art located in the mountains of North Carolina with Emilio Santini and Cesare Toffolo, and The Eugene Glass School, Oregon with Shane Fero. Jack spent 2 months in 2004 studying in Murano, Italy with glass meistro Cesare Toffolo.
With their 2 little boys, Jackson and Davis they live on the quiet scenic Kitsap Peninsula in Washington State enjoying much that the
Great Northwest has to offer: camping, salmon fishing, art museums, beaches, gardening.
